“Wobby” Buchannan reports slow fishing at Lake Eucumbene.

Grant Beaumont fished the Murray River at Murray Bridge for one carp and one catfish.

Laurie Benbow fished Port Phillip during stormy conditions. No snapper were caught, and Laurie feared they may get zapped by lightening. The amount of static in the air resulting in sparks from the graphite rods, and the lines hovering in the air in an arch from rod tip to where the line entered the water 10’s of meters away!

John Wiltshire explored the Grampians area, with the following results

- Lake Bellfield for small redfin

- Lake Fyans for no fish, though the lake looked in fine condition and almost full of water

- Lake Wartook had lots of small trout jumping

- Lake Toolondo had lots of big fish jumping, but the lake level was so low and weedy it made trolling from the kayak impossible.

Gill Carlisle’s brother caught four yellowbelly at Murchison on compost worms to 42cm. Also tried soft plastics, but the fish weren’t interested.
