Lake side at Eildon

EAC Life Member, Laurie Benbow and his wife Maureen, shows off one of 8 fish that they landed on Lake Eildon back in early December 2010. About 3 of which were Browns of around 600gms, 3 Rainbows also approx the same size plus a couple of Redfin to 500gms. Laurie reported that the lake was at approximately 75% capacity at the time, which was a great site to see. Laurie & Maureen managed to attract the attention of another six or so Rainbows using Tassie Devil lures, however could not get them into the boat for some reason. After doing what a good angler does and reassessing the situation, the experience of this fishing duo shone through, working out that the lures needed to be running on the line instead of the wire that usually holds them, to prevent the fishes head shakes from dislodging them. Well it looks like it was a good day out and well done Laurie and Maureen.
