John Wiltshire reports lots of prawns available at Lake Tyers. Located at Mallacoota, John launched his kayak in the nearby Betka River, and had one of his best fishing sessions in a long time. Fishing in only around 18 inches of water John caught over 30 bream to 35cms in 2 hours.
Kevin Bleazby fished with other EAC members John and Al Wiltshire and Fred Hutchinson at Mallacoota. Consistent bag limit catches of dusky flathead were caught averaging around 40cm. The best fish caught by Fred Hutchinson at an estimated 4kg on a soft plastic. This fish was well over the maximum size limit and released.
