Graeme Wrigley reported some dramas on a recent trip to Mallacouta. The fishing there was very good – bagging out on large flathead, some pinky snapper and good numbers of prawns over 2 days.

However, towing the van to Mallacouta, he was delayed by bush fires, then had no power for 2 days at the camp.

On the way home, Graeme got caught up in the floods!

Jack Maugher reported fishing at Millbrook Lakes with Mick Kaksa, Adrian Smajila and father Wayne. Some nice fish were caught, and fly casting and knowledge of flies, leaders, etc. was improved. Best of all, a great time was had!

Aaron Headland fished Lakes Tyers for Bream to 43cm, flathead from 40 to 65cm. Fish were mainly caught on Vibes and chartreuse plastics. Aaron also saw 2 monster flathead being caught by other anglers, both over 100cm in length.
