The 2011 Interclub Masters has been run and won by the Greensborough Angling Club (pictured above are some of the winning team members with the Masters Shield and the Team Captain making a speech at the presentation with the Prez and Martin).....and a comprehensive victory it was. Well done guys! The competition was held on the Maribyrnong River on Sunday 6th of March with six clubs competing - East Keilor RSL Angling Club, Preston Angling Club, Greensborough and District Angling Club, Footscray and District Angling Club, Fawkner and Merlynston Angling Club and the Essendon Angling Club.

The weather was fine, and some quality individual bream and bags were weighed in. The only hiccup on the day was that unknown to the EAC, the event clashed with the Essendon Rowing Club (ERC) regatta. This made access difficult for teams to get to the EAC clubrooms to weigh in their fish. The EAC will ensure this is not repeated! Thanks to ERC for helping out once they realised what had occurred.

The winning club is that which has the heaviest average bag weight of bream. Club's can enter as many members as they like, but the total weight of fish will be divided by the number of members who have been entered. There is a minimum number of members, which is five.

The results are as follows:

East Keilor RSL Angling Club (6 anglers)

No fish weighed in.

Preston Angling Club (11 anglers)

4 fish for 1918g

Average weight of 174.4g
